Underground Storage Tank (UST) Services

Today’s marketplace is more competitive than ever, and operational disruptions can impact both productivity and profitability.  Unfortunately, the operation of fuel storage tanks can sometimes result in unintended environmental releases.  When that happens, you need an experienced partner to help manage the situation efficiently and responsibly.

Insite Group, Inc. provides professional environmental consulting services to guide clients through every stage of the regulatory and remediation process.  Our team works to minimize disruption, protect property value, and ensure compliance with applicable environmental regulations.

IGI provides comprehensive environmental services for UST release sites, including:

UST Removal – We coordinate and oversee UST removals/closures on your behalf.  If a release is discovered, you may be eligible for coverage of the cleanup costs through the Underground Storage Tank Indemnification Fund (USTIF).  Having an environmental professional onsite during UST removal is highly recommended to ensure the collection of critical information and documentation needed to support your USTIF claim.

Release Investigation & Remediation Management – We manage all aspects of site characterization and remediation following a release, working toward restoring your property value and regulatory compliance.

Regulatory Coordination – We can handle all interactions and reporting with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) on your behalf.

Financial Coordination with USTIF – If you have a release that is eligible for coverage through USTIF, IGI will coordinate closely with USTIF to maintain eligibility and support continued coverage of your claim.

Project Planning & Budget Transparency – We provide detailed project budgets, clear milestones, and dedicated resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and on schedule.  We explain the financial tracking process and anticipated out-of-pocket costs upfront so there are no surprises.

Gas stations and other underground storage tank (UST) sites may require PADEP corrective actions.

Important Notice for Tank Owners

If you recently discovered or suspect a release due to an automatic leak detection alarm, tightness testing results, or any other reason, important PADEP and USTIF reporting deadlines may apply.  Contact us today to discuss your project.
